First things first, i aint heard none of ur songs, but i have jammed with you and if you want constructive criticism from someone who actually no's music here it goes. I tink at the moment, ur playing style is not developed enough, you need more individuality and flexibility and that comes from listening to more music styles, trust me get some thelonius monk stuff for piano, nd coltrane nd charlie parker for astounding musicianship and skill. Secondly, all of you leave christian alone, nd let him get on wiv it, cos ian u taking da piss outta his clothes nd music is exactly the same as him doing it to u, and despite wot u tink ur music isnt too different to garage as far as ability is concerned. And Richard, fuck all dat stuff bout fags cos life is short, and im busy pumping all the crap into my body dat i can get my hands on and im enjoying it, im sure he knows the side effects nd i tink he can handle himself, even when i guy twice his size is chasing him round a party trying to start a fight with him, ok?

Point 1 - as mincemeat has pointed out, anyone who uses language such as 'I'm the man' and is obsessed with their 'Ghetto' image is hysterically funny yet pathetically sad. Point 2 - This isnt exactly related to the main topic that was rather crudely started by Ayaz. Point 3 - if you base your entire existance around what type of music you listen to you really should get a life. Point 4 - just because you dislike a particular style of music doesn't immediately make you superior, nor does it mean that the style that you dislike it crap - its a matter of opinion.

Therefore, you should all hang your heads in shame , repent your sins, join a Monastery and live a life free from drugs, booze, sex and, worst of all, Michael Barrymore.

Yeah, Paul I agree with you on that one in regard 2 piano playing in jazz. I dont really know many styles & Im getting pro. jazz lessons for piano soon. As for individuality, I guess that will come when I've improved technique and such like.

hey man i no nd i never did condemn neone over there choice of music, and actually neither did christian dat Ian geezer did so he can get off his high horse and realise dat, far as this is concerned he was the one to start it nd hes the one who thinks worse of christian because of his clothes/music/lifestyle, which btw aint ghetto obsessed, i know ppl who r nd u can't even understand a word they say, ur lucky there rnt ne in school.

Yeah, it all comes down to practice although i wouldnt go too wild with lessons cos jazz is sommink dat u can teach urself, once i learnt to play sax the jazz side, well improv nd dat went off at a tangent but my main weakness is a lack of musical knowledge which is why i'm reluctant to start my own band. Just keep listening to different styles nd trying to play em nd it'll come.

Musical knowledge like Sub Dominants and Plagal Cadences is 1 thing, but when you hear about some of the big jazz players of the 1930's who couldnt read music and just played by ear, having a good ear makes up for it in my view, and its probably a case of practice makes perfect, although many music teachers would disagree - ive been told many a time 'you wont get anywhere without good theory knowledge'. O well we should jam again sometime

Unfortunetly phil has heavily edited the message and as such u have no idea how the whole thing started.
